Best Things About Being a Dad

Everyone will tell you that parenting has it's good days and it's bad days, but overall, it's an absolutely beautiful and exciting journey, we are only so lucky to experience.
Here are Dan & Shawn's list on the best things about being a dad-
The little moments-
Yes, the big moments are important, but the little moments often mean the most. It's those little cuddles they give you when they snuggle up on the couch and unknowingly make you feel like the most amazing person in the world. Or when they call out for you in the middle of the night when they have had a nightmare and Daddy comes to the rescue like a superhero.
The first's-
The first's are the absolute best. Watching the child see something or experience something for the first time, with such intense awe in their eyes, absolutely melts a dad's heart.
Their reliance on you-
When you wake up in the middle of the night to take care of them, that moment when they look at you with almost this look of gratitude for you being there to care for them, is so amazing. It's astounding the way they are totally reliant upon you for their survival and they look at you like, "Thank you for coming to my rescue."
Being able to watch kid's movies and play with toys, and it's okay!
Come on though, who doesn't love vegging out and watching Pixar and Disney movies?! It's awesome that as a dad, no one really questions your motives for watching those shows or for shopping in the toy section. You can be a total nerd and no one will ever even know.
Their laughs-
Okay, but seriously, there is nothing better than watching your baby smile and laugh for the first time.
Tax returns-
The looks women give you when carry a baby around the store-
Women seem to be drawn to a man who has a baby, alone, in the store. The looks we get when we carry our kids around- man, if we were single, I think our options would be limitless. lol!
Seeing yourself in your child-
Being able to see bits and pieces of you in your child, both good and bad traits, is mind blowing. The moment that baby is born, there is this overwhelming feeling of awe, admiration and love. It's this feeling of, "Wow, I created another human being and they are so beautiful."
